The Rise of an Adonisby =AlexandriaDior

In the central myth in its Greek telling, Aphrodite fell in love with the beautiful youth (possibly because she had been wounded by Eros's arrow).

Now this isn't the Adonis from the myth and she isn't Aphrodite either, but that's why it's titled as it is. This particular Adonis was cursed by the gods and forced to remain an immortal statue. Lina the only remaining demi-god child of Zeus is the one who accidentally releases him, much to her consternation. He's then forced to "protect" her as Zeus sees fit. Much to his own dismay.

Lina is an OC of mine that is part of a YA I'm working on. This is just an adult version of what happens to her in the story. Adonis and Lina are actually only 18 when this happens, but I loved the image so much I thought "why not" and did it as such.
